Fine Arts shows have always been a boon to onlookers and a treasure for hunters of the fine pieces of arts. The Steward school has been a learning centre for deep rooted fine arts and, their fall festival exhibited the same at its best. It had become a venue for making fund raising exercise by the display of various giclee canvas paintings, photos on canvas and other art collections.
Almost works of 21 artists were on display at the Cramer Center Art Gallery on Gayto road of Henrico County. One of the oil paintings on a gilcee canvas by Greg Osterhaus bore the price tag at $4,600. Realising the fundraising potential the co –Chairwoman Martha Rhodes is of the opinion that it was good for the school to have struck the idea to tap it. Also it had given an opportunity for the children to carry home some of the treasures to their homes.
A seventh grade pupil accompanied by his mother was able to pack up an Osterhaus collection paying a sum of $4,400. Another visiting youngster in his fourth grade made a purchase of a giclee print on canvas by Guy Crittenden. It just cost him $750.
Ms Rhodes was very much delighted to see all the collections in one place. Not that the show had the giclee canvas paintings, it also included fused glass collections, clay sculptures, water color drawings also. They have future plans to exhibit handcrafted jewelry, clothing and more.
Apart from the sale, the entry fee provides them with additional fund collection. The shows open for public on daytimes. It will be for six hours duration on Friday and four hours duration on Saturday. On rest of the days the visitors have to get a prior appointment

You may have heard about the newest form of artwork that’s taken the printing world by storm, canvas prints. Canvas prints are photographic quality art printed directly onto a painter’s canvas. In addition to having the unique texture and depth that only a canvas can provide, canvas prints also have a unique “wraparound” feature which prints the image alongside the edge of the canvas, meaning that you get the true three-dimensional feel of a real painting.
Canvas prints are created through a new and revolutionary new process known as “giclee printing.” In contrast to standard printing processes, which transfer ink directly to the paper, giclee printing is able to print without ever coming in contact with the medium. Because of this, it is possible to print on a textured material such as a canvas.
While canvas prints are available in a variety of reproductions from famous artists, the most stunning display of this new technology comes in the form of canvas photo prints. The effect that is created from transferring a photograph onto a canvas is truly unique and nothing short of amazing. The brilliance and sharpness of the photograph contrasts with the texture and depth of the canvas, and the resulting print is breathtaking.
If you’re searching for a new wall hanging or struggling to come up with gift ideas, explore the options available to you with giclee canvas prints. You may not believe your eyes!
