Giclee Prints
A picture can substitute thousand words but for that the picture has to be clear and should not get distorted with time. For centuries together we have been drawing pictures on various surfaces like cave wall, ceramics, building walls, wooden boards and cloth. The canvas became surface of choice for most of the artist and art lovers. For centuries together these canvas prints and arts remained in hands of very few, as very few could afford them. The block canvas printing and screen printing technology allowed us to duplicate the originals and the photocopying technology made these duplicates available at very cheap prices. None of these copies could come anywhere close to art and soul of originals masterpieces till the invention of ‘Giclee Printing’. This technique is the optimal for producing a wonderful fine art giclee.
Giclee printing is a computer control printing process. In this process the original picture, photo or canvas drawing is first scanned and stored in digital form in computer. This picture can be edited at this level to get desired effects of shades and color. The digital image is then printed on any surface like a canvas print, cotton cloth, ceramic, glass or wood depending on the surface of original work of depending up on the purpose of final product.
