Cora Lou Robinson considers heritage, memories and family to all be important, in fact, they’re probably the most important thing for her. She just did a painting specifically for the Minden Bank & Trust, a painting dedicated to their 50th anniversary. Having grown up in Minden, the Minden Bank was an important part of their life. She painted a picture that represented the culture of Minden, her family, her friends and her church.
Now, the Historical Association Museum of Dorcheat is joining Robinson and Easley to start fund-raising for the museum. Robinson’s works will be shown in giclee canvas prints. Robinson is excited about the prospect of her works being represented in giclee - a format which preserves the works’ beauty and shows them to a new generation. One of her paintings will be raffled off, the painting having a value of $300. This will be done for the “Festival of Memories” celebration. The winner of the painting will gain a treasured piece of Minden art. Robinson herself attests to the quality and beauty of the giclee canvas print. These same prints can also be bought at Easley’s studio, or at the museum, which is located at 116 Pearl Street.
